Since the CCBJH Group considers climate change as one of the most important issues we face as a society, in February 2022 we endorsed the TCFD recommendations. Furthermore, we have participated in the TCFD Consortium and Climate Change Initiative. We continue to take action to reduce GHG emissions.

Led by the TCFD Working Group, the Board of Directors and various business units collaborated to analyze risks and opportunities and to study measures to address them. We have now disclosed information on the four items recommended by the TCFD recommendations: "governance," "strategies," "risk management," and "metrics and targets. For more information, please visit the Sustainability page of our website (Note 2).

In our greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction targets announced in 2021, the CCBJH Group aims to reduce GHG emissions by 50% in Scope 1 and 2 and 30% in Scope 3 by 2030 (compared to 2015). We also aim to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. We will continue our efforts to strengthen our response to climate change and expand our information disclosure in order to achieve carbon neutrality.

(Note 1) TCFD
The Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures, or TCFD, was founded by the Financial Stability Board (FSB) at the request of G20. TCFD recommends companies to disclose their “climate-related risks”, “governance”, “strategies”, “risk management”, and “metrics and targets”.
